Magnitude 5.5 aftershock early this morning



A magnitude 5.5 earthquake (marked by the star on the map at right) occurred at 02:13 am local time this morning in the Gulf of California, in the same area as Monday's 4 quakes (which ranged from 5.0 to 6.9 in magnitude).

We've had no reports of it being felt in Arizona or of damage in Mexico. Map credit, USGS.
